Wholesale trade

About this industry

The wholesale industry buys and sells goods to businesses. A wholesale business doesn’t have a shop front or display their goods to attract walk-in customers. Many wholesalers are intermediaries between manufacturers and retailers. Wholesalers engage in commission-based buying or selling of goods, acting as agents or brokers.

Wholesalers work from offices or warehouses. These keep large volumes of stock which are sold in bulk.

Skills NSW fee-free training is fully funded by the NSW and Commonwealth governments.
