This qualification reflects the roles of avionic or mechanical maintenance team leaders, maintenance planners, spares assessors, repairable item managers and technical authors in both the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) and Defence Aviation Safety Authority (DASA) regulatory environments.
Workers apply scientific and mathematical principles and techniques according to established procedures and operating variables. Workers may lead a team and be required to communicate, demonstrate, coordinate and supervise work methods, compliance and safety standards.
This qualification applies to workplaces that operate under the airworthiness regulatory systems of DASA and CASA. Any regulatory/licensing requirements associated with any MEA units of competency must be met.
